Step one every 6 months or so ... have strong bristles of the brush and clean very well. fall off quite easily, but sometimes in a pot of coffee or something. But to go back very easily.
In my last two, the plastic was broken before I wore out the bristles, but every time I had used very vigorously for about 6 months.
I would recommend keeping an additional package of these at all if you use the brush to wash the dishes Oxo.
